THE POSITION…As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating production schedules to accurately plan and ensure efficient production capacity and meet on-time delivery and required inventory levels. To be successful in this role, you will identify opportunities to improve processes and control costs.
THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF…- You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling.
- You have experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) information systems.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office.
- You have strong attention to detail.
- You are organized, focused, and results oriented.
- You are a problem-solver with critical thinking and prioritizing skills.
- You have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- You have experience with manufacturing drawings.
- Review customer orders and sales requirements for attainability
- Develop and analyze schedules in accordance with sales forecast and create production orders to meet customer and stocking needs
- Manage production resources to ensure actionable and efficient production schedules
- Facilitate Engineering Change Order implementation for purchasing, material control and production
- Review forecasted production orders and adjust schedules as needed to address production issues or changing priorities
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Operations and Sales to ensure that minimum inventory levels are met to support customer requirements
- Implement and monitor workflow and production activity within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to meet production deadlines
