Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will provide leadership for all maintenance, reliability, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and mechanical integrity programs within a beet sugar processing facility. This role is responsible for maintenance personnel, equipment reliability, CMMS administration, budget management, downtime reduction, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

As a Maintenance Manager, You Will:

• Lead Maintenance Supervisors, Engineers, Planners, Technicians, and maintenance personnel.
• Drive safety initiatives while promoting a zero-injury workplace culture.
• Manage all maintenance and reliability activities supporting plant operations.
• Oversee preventative, predictive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Utilize CMMS (SAP-HANA) to manage maintenance planning, scheduling, asset management, and work execution.
• Ensure equipment reliability through effective maintenance planning and execution strategies.
• Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance budgets, departmental spending, and cost control initiatives.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement and equipment reliability programs.
• Coordinate plant shutdowns, maintenance projects, and major repair activities.
• Serve as the facility liaison for risk management, inspections, fire protection systems, and compliance requirements.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Corporate Leadership teams to support plant objectives.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, GMP, food safety, and regulatory standards.
• Coach, train, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel while supporting succession planning initiatives.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis, oil analysis, and infrared inspections.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Maintenance Management, Reliability Engineering, or Plant Engineering experience required.
• Experience within food processing, sugar processing, manufacturing, chemical processing, agriculture processing, or heavy industrial environments preferred.
• Strong experience managing preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Experience utilizing SAP, CMMS, or similar maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of boilers, power distribution systems, rotating equipment, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and industrial processing equipment.
• Experience conducting root cause failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with OSHA, GMP, BRC, and SQF standards preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Certified Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM) certification preferred.
