Low-Voltage Technician in Tucson, Arizona at Casey Services

The Low-Voltage Technician is a temporary position at Baton Rouge, LA who will be responsible for aiding the contracting team members in project execution and ensuring end users receive high quality work.

Primary Responsibilities:

Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT 6 cable in a DATA CENTER or new construction commercial environmentBuild out telecommunications closetsInstall cable support systems which consist of cable tray, j-hooks and ladder trayInstall cat 5/6 horizontal station cable, backbone cable, and fiber optic cable and riser systemsInstall and termination of RG6/RG11 Coaxial CablingInstall specialty systems (security & CCTV) and fire alarm cableTerminate cat 5/6 horizontal 4-pair work-area outlet (modular connector)Must be able to terminate RJ45PlugsPerform copper cable testing (UTP, coax)Perform both copper and fiber troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

Experience in Low Voltage Structured Cabling, Access Control, and Coaxial Cabling preferred Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools Must have the ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. Ability to work overtime as needed Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Data Center experience a plus Perform fiber splicing (fusion) experience a plus Knowledge of codes and standards (OSHA and BICSI) a plus Maintain a positive attitude and professional dress & demeanorAble to follow all safety rules and instructions Must have a valid driver's license

Competencies:
