We are committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level of the organization.The Director of Development leads the day-to-day execution of individual giving, corporate sponsorships, donor stewardship, and fundraising events within the organization’s overall development strategy. The role manages mid-level and emerging donor relationships, conducts direct face-to-face fundraising, develops corporate partnerships, and leads fundraising events from concept through completion, including sponsorships, timelines, vendors, logistics, event-day execution, and post-event stewardship. Working closely with the VP of Resource Development, the Director takes ownership of assigned fundraising initiatives, relationships, and event execution to drive revenue and strengthen long-term community support.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):Individual Giving & Donor Development- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, including donor cultivation, solicitation, corporate sponsorships, and stewardship.Minimum of 3 years independently leading, managing, and coordinating fundraising events from concept through completion, including budgets, timelines, vendors, sponsorships, communications, logistics, volunteers, event-day execution, and post-event follow-up.Demonstrated experience with face-to-face fundraising and solicitation, including cultivating relationships, securing meetings, asks, and stewarding gifts.Experience managing a portfolio of mid-level and emerging donors and developing and securing corporate sponsorships.Strong project management skills, with ability to independently manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and event details with minimal supervision.A thorough understanding of the Club’s mission, objectives, policies, programs and proceduresA general understanding of the principles and practices of non-profit organizations, youth development services preferred.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, Board members, volunteers, donors, community groups, and other agencies.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor/CRM systems; willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for fundraising and community events. Valid State Driver License or California ID card.Must clear TB, Drug Screen and Fingerprint check.CPR & First Aid Certifications within 90 of hire.
