Salary: $80,000–$115,000 annually, depending on experience

We're looking for a Tax Accountant who enjoys building client relationships, solving complex tax issues, and growing into a trusted advisor. About the RoleAs a Tax Accountant, you'll work with a diverse portfolio of closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, and individual clients. You'll prepare and review tax returns, assist with tax planning, conduct research, and collaborate with experienced CPAs on complex client engagements.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 3–5 years of public accounting experience who is ready to expand their technical knowledge while developing consulting and client advisory skills.

What You'll DoTax Preparation & Compliance- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for:
- Individuals (1040)
- Partnerships (1065)
- S Corporations (1120S)
- C Corporations (1120)
- Trusts and Estates
- Prepare quarterly estimates and tax projections.
- Assist with extensions and tax notices.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
- Assist in developing proactive tax planning strategies for business owners and individuals.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities through research and analysis.
- Participate in consulting projects involving business transactions and entity structuring.
- Support senior professionals on complex tax planning engagements.
- Build strong relationships with clients through responsive communication and exceptional service.
- Assist clients with tax-related questions and planning opportunities.
- Gather financial information and documentation for engagements.
- Help clients understand tax strategies and compliance requirements.
- Research federal and state tax law.
- Stay current on changes to tax legislation and regulations.
- Prepare written summaries and recommendations for technical tax issues.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge through professional development.
- Work closely with Tax Managers, Principals, and fellow team members.
- Participate in training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies.
- Support Keystone's collaborative and client-focused culture.

This position follows a hybrid work model based in Austin, Texas.
Successful candidates should have:

Requirements:Qualifications
Required- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3–5 years of public accounting experience.
- Experience preparing business and individual tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification.
- Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
- Experience with CCH Axcess or similar tax software.
- Experience working with closely held businesses and business owners.
