Credit Analyst (Admissions) in Miami, Florida at Banco Sabadell

Banco Sabadell is seeking a Credit Analyst candidate to join a dynamic team within one of the fastest growing banks in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Analyse various risk elements of corporate and project finance transactions in the Americas, and present written executive summaries to the management of the Credit Department.

• Independently develop high-quality credit analysis with a focus on business rationale, key risks, sources of repayment, projections and returns & profitability.

• Independently assess, diligence and make justifiable credit recommendations.

• Timely preparation of written credit presentations that comply with Corporate Loan Policy with all exceptions noted, within established guidelines, for use by Lending Officers and or Loan Committee in making lending decisions based on information obtained from Loan Officers, borrowers and other sources.

• Oversee the maintenance of credit quality and provide feedback to business units to ensure consistent and complete credit applications. Provide guidance as necessary to Lending Officers to ensure compliance with internal standards and policies.

• Review, spread, analyse and comment on borrower’s and guarantor’s tax return, financial statements, credit, overall financial condition and related material including cash flow, sources of repayment, viability and operations as well as collateral position, potential risks and mitigating factors with established guidelines. Request any additional information that may be warranted.

• Prepare annual loan reviews as directed by the Credit Department Manager under established guidelines and timeframes.

• Address critical issues and potential conflicts in a candid, professional and timely manner.

• Manage workflow with emphasis on prioritization of loan requests and managing the required level of analysis for approval.

• Make recommendations on structure based on industry and loan type being requested.

• Must communicate well with lending officers, make suggestions, research industries, and provide information in order to assist the lenders in presenting their credits for decision.

• Must have experience and thorough understanding of corporate banking and lending to large corporations, lines of credit, loan structuring and underwriting. Knowledge of project finance is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience as a credit analyst in corporate banking

• Experience in analysing Syndicated Corporate loan proposals is required. Experience analysing Project Finance and / or Structured loan proposals is preferred but not required.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
