Architectural Historian / Project Manager – Entry Level

Brockington and Associates is seeking an entry-level architectural historian and project manager based in our Atlanta, GA office for architectural history and archival project work throughout the US.

Minimum education: MA/MHP/MS in architectural history, historic preservation, history, archaeology, or a closely related field.

Minimum experience: Up to 1 or 2 years of practical experience.

You must have the ability to:

• Conduct fieldwork - including historic resource surveys and evaluations;
• Prepare National Register nominations;
• Conduct archival research using primary and secondary resources;
• Effectively discuss projects with colleagues and clients;
• Manage budgets and schedules; and
• Write professional technical reports and publications.

Frequent out-of-town travel, physical labor, and time spent in outdoor conditions are requirements of this job. We are particularly interested in candidates with cross-training in archaeology and/or interest in both architectural history and archaeology.

You must be able to work as a member of a diverse team, manage projects and people, and complete other delegated project tasks. You should possess strong communication skills, work professionally with clients and government agencies, and be able to supervise the work of others.

For this position, annual salary range is $51,000 to $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a generous company benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability, life, 401(k), and paid time off.
