Staff Pharmacist - Overnights/Weekends in New York at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Pharmacist – Overnights/Weekends based in United States.

This fully remote telepharmacy role supports multiple hospitals across several states, combining clinical expertise with technology-enabled medication management. You’ll verify medication orders, provide therapeutic guidance, and help care teams deliver safe, high-quality patient care. The role involves working across multiple pharmacy information systems and supporting a broad range of patient populations and therapies. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals while maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The schedule follows a 7-on/7-off rotation with overnight and weekend coverage. It’s an opportunity to make a direct clinical impact while working from a remote environment.

• Perform remote medication order entry, order verification, and drug verification across multiple hospital environments.

• Complete transitions-of-care medication reconciliation and navigate multiple pharmacy information systems.

• Provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.

• Assess medication appropriateness, dosing—including renal and hepatic adjustments—drug interactions, and medication compatibilities.

• Support diverse and specialized patient populations, including pediatric, geriatric, pregnant or nursing patients, patients with HIV, and those with renal or hepatic impairment.

• Apply clinical knowledge across IV therapies, TPN, cardiac and narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and other complex medication therapies.

• Accurately and promptly document clinical interventions, medication reviews, and other pharmacy activities.

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, applicable pharmacy laws, client policies, and professional standards.

• Work effectively across VPNs, automation systems, pharmacy information systems, and productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Snagit.

• Maintain required pharmacist licenses, credentials, system access, and ongoing professional competencies.

• Participate in clinical, system, and policy training while consistently meeting established productivity and quality standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.

• At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred, ideally in a clinical or acute-care environment.

• Active pharmacist licensure in Illinois or California in good standing is required, with willingness to obtain additional licenses in Iowa, Nebraska, and Hawaii as needed.

• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to evaluate medication safety, dosing, interactions, compatibility, and therapeutic appropriateness.

• Comfortable working across multiple pharmacy information systems, technology platforms, and remote clinical workflows.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

• High attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently in a technology-driven environment.

• Willingness and availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and a 7-on/7-off schedule.

• Reliable home internet connection through cable broadband or fiber optic service with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

• Ability to maintain all required professional credentials, licenses, and system access throughout employment.

• Fully remote work from anywhere in the United States, subject to applicable licensure and employment requirements.

• 7-on/7-off overnight schedule.

• Anticipated hourly compensation of $54–$91 per hour, depending on experience, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
