Executive Vice President/Chief Operations Officer at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs the administration and operation of University Hospital and the University Health’s ambulatory facilities. Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission of University Health as well as to the proper stewardship of its resources. Leads the University Health’s efforts to achieve and maintain operational effectiveness, financial success, quality of care and outstanding patient and provider satisfaction. Responsible to the President/Chief Executive Officer for the administration of approved policies relevant to overall University Health operations and acts, when so designated, for and in the absence of the President/Chief Executive Officer.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in Health Care Administration or related field is required. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years related experience may be substituted for the required education. Six years in health care management/administration is required. Aforementioned experience gained in a university affiliated hospital is preferred.
