Position Description: Overview: With the growing need for mental health services for children and youth, Jewish Family Services of San Antonio is looking for a talented, passion and mission driven therapist with experience in trauma informed care and play therapy to help improve the health and wellness of our community.

The Ideal Candidate for this position will:
  • Have a passion for working with children and families.
  • Be fully licensed mental health professional in Texas
  • Has experience providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents.
  • Have the ability to manage their calendar and work schedule

  • Be familiar with mental health issues facing children today.
  • Possess the ability to utilize strengths-based and expressive modalities in the playroom.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Provide clinical counseling services to 20+ clients per week including children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Offer sessions in person (at one of our two locations), or via telehealth from the office.
  • Ensure all session notes and other documentation are completed on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Maintain communication with the Clinical Director to ensure that hours/clients are being properly managed and supported, including scheduling and billing.
Must Haves:
  • Masters Degree in a mental health-related field.
  • LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license.
  • Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or a demonstrated history of advanced play therapy training and specialization.
  • Valid Drivers license.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
