Job Description
A registered nurse provides quality, skilled creative nursing care while supervising, teaching, recording and evaluating the professional nursing care given to patients in the hospital. The patient population primarily served is aged 8 to geriatric. This position may be floated to other areas to assist in the care of all other age groups based on established competencies. Performs the primary function of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients in the Wound Healing Center (WHC), responsible for meeting established WHC standards of nursing practice in the management of all assigned patients. Assists physicians with the development and implementation of wound treatment plans and participates in performance improvement review activities. Acts within the guidelines of federal and state laws, JCAHO standards and professional and ethical practice.
Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited nursing program, current RN license in the State of GA and at least two years of experience in a hospital setting.
