About This Position

Job Title: Specialty Physician Assistant - Pain Management

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Specialty Physician Assistant with a focus in Pain Management to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This individual will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients experiencing acute and chronic pain, working closely under the supervision of our Pain Management Physicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pain management techniques, patient evaluation, and the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate pain conditions, including patient history, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with Pain Management Physicians to develop individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
  • Perform procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and other pain management techniques under the guidance of a physician.
  • Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, including lifestyle modifications, exercise, and nutrition advice.
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal pain relief and functionality.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute to the continuous improvement of pain management services.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in pain management and participate in continuing education programs to enhance clinical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
  • Certification or significant experience in Pain Management is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform pain management procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
