Location: This position is based in Hardinsburg, Kentucky, and does not offer a remote work option. Relocation is required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain customer relationships via daily interactions, making supportive sales calls, and visiting customers to evaluate project needs.
• Evaluate customer component/equipment problems, identify necessary repairs, generate creative solutions, prepare quotations, and plan/prepare job write-ups for these repairs.
• Work with the customer to design modifications to customer equipment for improved service life, improved performance, or lower manufacturing costs.
• Provide quotes for on-site machining, welding, and metrology in all industry forms. Primary industries include but are not limited to: steel mills, aluminum mills, power plants, paper mills, aggregate/mining, automotive manufactures, and forging plants.
• Some projects may require on-site project management and customer relations on large-scale jobs.
• Work with the on-site management team for daily pre-job preparation and planning.
• Maintain a team environment working with the Field Machining Supervisors, Field Sales, Core Management, and Schedulers on projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

• College degree in Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred.
• 2 years’ experience is preferred in quoting/estimating or project management.
• Experience in machining, welding, fabrication, or construction is preferred.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Must have the ability to read and understand Blueprints/CAD Drawings.
• Solid Works experience is preferred.
• Must possess the capability to lead and complete project timelines.
• Must possess a mechanical aptitude, including specific reasoning skills in defining problems and factual data collection with validated conclusions.
• Must possess computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and essential computer software.
• Requires flexibility with schedule as needed.
• Travel up to 25% to 40% as needed (typically: day trips and occasional overnight stays).
