Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Savannah, GA
Status: Part Time (30 hours/week)
We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance tasks, ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of equipment, facilities, and systems. This is a hands-on role requiring the technician to provide their own tools and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and facility systems.
- Perform general facility repairs and maintenance.
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and painting needs.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Respond to facility emergencies and urgent maintenance situations as needed.
- Assess maintenance issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Document completed maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain records of materials used, work performed, and time spent on maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with staff, vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed to address facility maintenance and repair needs.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating outside maintenance services.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, regulations, and facility requirements.
- Maintain a safe and functional environment by identifying and addressing potential maintenance or safety concerns.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency situations (required)
- Ability to travel up to 1.5 hours to satellite locations (required)
- General knowledge of building maintenance, facility systems, and basic repair techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and independently complete routine repairs
- Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple maintenance needs
- Must provide own tools and transportation to and from job sites
