Facilities Technician (FT) at Lad Lake Inc – Dousman, Wisconsin

We’re excited to welcome a Facilities Technician to our maintenance team! If you’re a motivated individual with a knack for general maintenance—like painting, plumbing, and some handy mechanical skills—you might be the perfect fit. This role is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and you’ll be on call for alternating weekends.

**About the Role**

As our Facilities Technician, you’ll play a vital role in helping us create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment across the beautiful Lad Lake campus.

**What You'll Do**

• Take on general upkeep and repair tasks assigned by your supervisor.
• Be the go-to person for repairs in your assigned units.
• Keep our equipment running smoothly for all the necessary maintenance work.
• Stay alert of any safety hazards, tackle repairs immediately, and keep your supervisor in the loop.
• Carefully operate Lad Lake’s equipment, always follow safety guidelines, and report any issues to your supervisor.
• Drive as needed between our campuses, the post office, and stores.
• Supervise resident employees in the Facilities Department while ensuring they follow their treatment plans.
• Jump in to help during emergencies when the need arises.
• Show kindness and respect to clients and staff, understanding that we all serve as role models for the youth we work with.
• Be available for on-call duties whenever needed.

**What We're Looking For**

• You should have a high school diploma, be at least 21 years old, and have a valid driver's license with a clean record.
• A team player with good computer skills is a plus!
• A solid understanding of general facility repair and maintenance and basic skills in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, small engines, and auto mechanics are essential. Previous maintenance experience would be a fantastic advantage!
• The ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Previous painting experience preferred
