JOB RELATIONSHIPS

• Clinical Nurse Director and/or Charge Nurse/Staff Nurse

DEFINITION OF POSITION

• The Certified Nurse Aide II is responsible for administering direct patient care in a courteous, caring manner, and performing any other duties deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care, under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse. The Certified Nurse Aide II interacts with unit staff members, patients, patient's family members, and other departments to ensure the comfort and safety for all patients on the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional

  • High school education or equivalent preferred.

  • Registration with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation, Healthcare Personnel Registry as a Nurse Aide II.

  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
