Based of their findings, they prescribed treatment and medications to attempt to heal any illness or injuries and for disease prevention and management.

Core Job Functions
- Refers patients to specialists if needed. Maintains liaison with other disciplines, such as social services, nutritional speech therapy, physical therapy, pastoral care, and pain management. Implements plan of care.
- Educates patients with regard to their medical condition. Comprehensive review of the patient's medical history is performed and documented. Consults with other medical professional and physicians when needed.
