Job Description

Position Description: Jacobi Medical Center is in need of an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist to assist in a wide range of diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures. This advanced position involves working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other medical professionals to perform complex, minimally invasive procedures using fluoroscopic guidance. Ideal candidates will hold at least one ARRT Advanced Certification (CI, CV, or VI).
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and assist during interventional procedures, including vascular access, angiography, and embolizations


Maintain sterile techniques and support radiologists in catheter insertions and device placements


Manage imaging equipment calibration, quality assurance, and safety checks


Monitor patient vitals and provide real-time image guidance during procedures


Record procedure notes, images, and outcomes within imaging and hospital systems


Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding radiation use and patient care


Required Certifications & Licensure:
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology


At least one of the following ARRT Advanced Certifications:


CI Cardiac Interventional


CV Cardiovascular Interventional


VI Vascular Interventional


Must obtain a NYSDOH Radiologic Technologist License prior to start if not already licensed in New York


Required Experience & Skills:
Demonstrated experience in interventional radiology procedures


Familiarity with fluoroscopy, DSA (digital subtraction angiography), and sterile field management


Strong understanding of contrast agents, equipment troubleshooting, and emergency response protocols


Excellent technical and interpersonal skills in high-acuity clinical settings


Open to candidates nationwide, provided they are willing to license in NY after offer
