About This Position

Description

This position works in the field assisting the field crew chief with houseline surveying services, topographic surveys, tree surveys, wetland surveys, boundary surveys, and ALTA surveys.

Accountability and Duties:

· Ensures timesheets are submitted accurately and on time

· Provides an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a daily basis

· Keeps supervisors informed of work load and any changes in project scope or additional services

· Maintains a good relationship with clients and staff

· Works closely and coordinates with staff and site superintendents

· Understands and accurately uses all field survey instruments

· Properly maintains and takes care of field equipment

· Obtaining & reading information for the daily projects

· Maintain and electronically file legible field notes and sketches

· Successfully upload and download data files to/from collector

· Successfully upload and download calibration files to/from collector

· Responsible for stocking the company vehicle each morning (supplies & equipment)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:· Available to work overtime as needed to complete projects· Available to work in the field in all weather conditions· Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework· Desire to learn and improve field skills and survey knowledge· Must be fluent in the English language

Physical Demands: Must be able to read reports and use the computer. Must hear well enough to communicate with coworkers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk, climb/stoop/kneel, lift/pull/push, grasp/feel. Must be able to write, type, and use phone system. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Qualification Requirements: High School Diploma with 0-2 years of experience

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma with 0-2 years of experience
