Estimator at Goldsboro Builders Supply Family of Companies – Wendell, North Carolina

Position Summary:

Responsible for preparing accurate material take-offs for residential and light commercial construction projects. This is a critical support role in assisting our Sales Representatives in completing quotes and final pricing on customer bids/quotes.

Position Responsibilities:

Review Blueprints, specifications, and related documents to prepare take-offs.

Communicate with customers and sales staff if needed to clarify project requirements.

Using software (Plan Swift) to generate take-offs.

Identifying and presenting to customers and sales staff any options or alternative materials when appropriate.

Stay current with industry trends, new products, and building code requirements.

Other duties as needed or assigned.

Education/Formal Training:

High School Diploma/GED required, Associate Degree or higher preferred.

Must have prior experience in utilizing Plan Swift software.

Work Experience/Skills:

Competency in basic mathematics and geometry.

Proficiency in blueprint reading.
