General Accounting Specialist II – Fixed Assets & US GAAP at SupportNinja

As a General Accounting Specialist II, you will play a key role in managing the company’s accounting activities with a focus on fixed assets. You will process transactions accurately, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and support month-end close procedures while maintaining high standards of accounting controls.

What does a day in the life of a General Accounting Specialist II look like?

• Manage and process fixed assets accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations.
• Process high-volume accounting transactions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Lead complex account reconciliations during month-end close procedures, including fixed asset accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting reports and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated accounting issues.
• Respond to customer emails and calls in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to US GAAP and internal accounting controls.

What are the required qualifications of a General Accounting Specialist II?

• Minimum 2 years of general accounting experience, with direct experience in fixed assets accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Degree in Business or Accounting.
• Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel and Word.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime.

• Experience with NetSuite or Coupa (particularly in fixed assets management).
