Position Summary

The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality rehabilitative services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. This leadership role ensures that all rehabilitation programs meet clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and patient-centered goals while fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.Team Management
  • Train and supervise rehabilitation staff including therapists and support personnel.
  • Provide mentorship to promote professional growth.Clinical Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS and HIPAA.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care through evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement. Interdisciplinary Collaboration
  • Coordinate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute individualized care plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between rehabilitation services and other departments. Program Development
  • Introduce innovative therapies and technologies to enhance patient recovery.
  • Lead community outreach and education initiatives related to rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field (Doctorate preferred).
  • Current state licensure in respective discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, healthcare regulations, and reimbursement models.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
