Lead Nurse - Wound Center at Columbus Regional Health – Columbus, Indiana

• Our Wound Center is an advanced facility that offers the latest in wound care technology and care.
• This outpatient facility allows physicians and nursing staff to work on individualized care plans for patients with chronic wounds.
• The Lead Nurse – Wound Center is a registered nurse who is responsible and accountable for the day-to-day direction of the Wound Center department staff, identification of staffing needs, and the coordination of patient care activities.
• He/she is the liaison between staff and leadership, assisting leadership in determining staff needs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• He/she provides leadership, supervision, organization, conflict management and clinical expertise.
• A consistent expectation for this role is interaction with patients, families, physicians, leadership, a variety of staff members, and other multi-disciplinary team members.
• This team member assists the Director in assessing the quality of care, supports staff development, cost containment, and supports evaluation of staff performance.
• The base hourly rate for this position is $35.12. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• This full-time position will require you to work 40 hours a week, 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

What is required for this position:

Education and/or Experience

• Graduate of a school of nursing required upon hire. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within three (3) years of hire required.
• 2 years of department specific experience preferred

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

• Current registered nurse Indiana licensure in Indiana required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
