About This Position

Location: Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Overview:

ACS is seeking a licensed Project Architect to join our Milwaukee office. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact projects for nationally recognized retail, restaurant, and hospitality brands. You’ll work collaboratively across disciplines to deliver thoughtful, brand-driven architectural solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead technical design and integration of building systems

· Produce design and construction documentation

· Develop architectural details with strong code knowledge and best practices

· Manage project work plans, delegate tasks, and mentor junior staff

· Oversee budgets, schedules, and consultant coordination

· Perform code analysis, permitting submittals, and AHJ communication

· Support construction administration: RFIs, site visits, punch lists

· Maintain organized project documentation and communication

· Contribute to proposals and RFP responses

Education & Licensure:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture from an accredited program

· Licensed Architect in good standing (at least one U.S. state)

Experience, Skills & Abilities:

· 10+ years of U.S. architectural experience (retail, restaurant, hotel, or similar)

· Highly proficient in Revit and AutoCAD (minimum 5 years Revit experience)

· Skilled in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and rendering tools (SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Lumion)

· Strong understanding of wood-frame construction and building codes

· Excellent communication, organization, and client-facing skills

· Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with consultants and permitting officials

· Self-motivated team player with a collaborative mindset
