We are hiring on-call Support Partners to join our team! This role is on-call and hours will vary based on program coverage needs. On-call shifts may include weekends and/or holidays.
ABOUT CPLC DE COLORES SHELTER
CPLC De Colores provides a safe, secure place for families to heal from the traumatizing effects of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking. Shelter and community-based services meet survivors where they are to help them discover their strengths and regain their freedom.
The De Colores Shelter provides emergency housing, case management, legal and housing support, support groups, transportation, youth services, housing and employment support, and referrals to other resources. We offer nurturing spaces for survivors and their families to heal, including a meditation room, a garden, and a special area for youth activities.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
You'll jump in for shifts that need coverage if staff are not available, ensuring the shelter can run seamlessly! During an on-call shift, you'll do a variety of things, including:
- Provide on-the-spot support to clients with their daily needs
- Supervise the shelter to ensure safety for clients and the facility
- Drive company vehicle for donation pick-ups and sort daily donations
- Support the kitchen in meal preparation and donation sorting and organization as needed
- Respond to fire or other emergencies or medical crises
- Move objects up to 50 pounds (donation boxes, food drop-offs, furniture, supplies etc

- Enjoy being active and doing whatever is needed to get the job done, whether it's serving/cooking food, sorting donations, taking care of the facilities, setting up for events, or helping a resident.
- Heart for working with diverse communities and survivors of domestic violence
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Current Driver's License and able to drive vehicles such as cargo vehicles for donation pickups
- Able to work with clients who experience domestic violence and homelessness
- Experience working in a commercial or community style kitchen preferred
- Must have a current food handler card, or the ability to obtain one
- Must have a current Fingerprint Clearance Card or the ability to have one within 60 days of employment
- Able to move up to 50 pounds
