Refrigeration Engineer in Effingham, Illinois at Peerless of America

The Refrigeration Engineer will support the design, improvement, and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems and components, with an emphasis on coils used in cooling applications. This role works closely with production and engineering teams to ensure reliable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Design, analyze, and optimize refrigeration systems, components, and coils used in cooling applications.

· Provide support to production and maintenance teams for troubleshooting and problem-solving.

· Review technical drawings and collaborate with CAD designers to ensure manufacturability.

· Recommend improvements to efficiency, quality, and reliability of refrigeration products.

· Stay informed of industry standards and safety/environmental requirements.

· Assist in preparing cost estimates, proposals, and technical support for sales and customers.

· Perform other engineering-related tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

• 2+ years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or related manufacturing environment.

• Understanding of refrigeration principles, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
