LSAC’s mission is to advance law and justice by promoting access, equity, and fairness in law school admission and supporting the learning journey from prelaw through practice.

Pay rate: $85,000 to $88,000, depending on experience

The Solutions Analyst – Reports & Analytics is responsible for delivering enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This role partners with business and technical teams to gather requirements, develop and validate reporting solutions, perform data analysis using SQL/PLSQL, and ensure the quality and accuracy of analytical products through comprehensive testing.


Essential Job Functions

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, including dashboards, reports, and reusable data products.
  • Develop and manage Power BI semantic models, ensuring performance, scalability, data consistency, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Build, support, and optimize Microsoft Fabric Warehouses and Lakehouses to enable trusted, enterprise-wide analytics and reporting.
  • Administer and support the Power BI platform, including workspace management, security, access controls, deployment processes, and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define reporting needs, and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.
  • Design, develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL/PLSQL queries, stored procedures, and data validation processes to support reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies; perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to ensure data accuracy and solution quality.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve data, reporting, and analytics issues while managing defects through resolution.
  • Contribute to Agile planning, continuous improvement, and delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with organizational goals.

  • Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, Lakehouses, and Warehouses.
  • Strong testing and quality assurance skills, including test planning, data validation, defect management, and user acceptance testing.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Agile principles, iterative delivery, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Knowledge of Power BI administration, security, governance, and deployment best practices.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable, and business-focused analytics solutions.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience delivering enterprise reporting, business intelligence, and analytics solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse) and Power BI (reports, dashboards, semantic models, and administration).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL/PLSQL, data modeling, data warehousing, and analytics solution development.
  • Experience with test planning, data validation, regression/UAT testing, and Agile delivery methodologies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have people management responsibilities.

Position Type

The LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, as an exempt employee, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner.

Work Environment

This job operates in a remote and professional office environment. Whether remote or in-office, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel Requirements

There is no travel expected for this position.
