Medical Assistant - UT Urgent Care Lenoir City at University Physicians' Association – Knoxville, Tennessee

UT Urgent Care Clinics have provided medical care for acute illnesses and minor injuries to Knoxville, TN and surrounding counties since 2007. UT Urgent Care -Lenoir City is seeking experienced, well qualified Medical Assistant who must be a team player and comfortable working in a fast pace urgent care environment.

A successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties but not limited to:

Job Description:

• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families during visit, by demonstrating sensitivity to patients’ comfort and privacy.
• Accurately records patient history, complete patient vitals, retrieves basic condition of patient and reports to appropriate practitioner.
• Assists provider with examination, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care, such as: applying splints and wound dressings, collecting and record various laboratory tests, administer oral and injectable medication.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

• Flexible Schedule: 36-hour work week scheduled between 3 shifts per week, with option for overtime pay (1.5 x hour)
• Clinic Hours: 12-hour weekday shift, 9AM-9PM & 9-hour weekend shift, 9AM-6PM
• Shift Differential For Weekend Hours: Up to $2.00 per hour

SALARY DESCRIPTION:

• $17.00/hr - $22.00/hr
• Shift differential up to $2.00 per hour
• Dependent on experience

• 21-hour/9-hour shifts, including ability to work weekends (no overnights)

Education/Experience:

• Requirement of GED or High School Diploma
• Licensed LPN or Completion of Medical Assistant program, registered/certified (RMA/CMA) or 2+ years’ experience working in medical office
