As an associate veterinarian, you will be hands that heal and voice of knowledge for our patients and clients. You will be a trusted caretaker in our pet care team. We help our clients’ pets live healthier and happier lives through excellent medical practices. Through providing preventative care, finding innovative solutions tailored to the individual patient, performing surgery and dentistry, and providing high level client education and communication you will help our team provide excellence in care.

What Success Looks Like:

• Provides a high standard of care for patients using innovative medicine, diagnostics, and surgery
• Communicates in a positive manner with clients through phone conversation, texting, emails, and in-person communications
• Works well with their team members to provide a seamless, positive, professional experience for each client and patient
• Fosters and maintains a positive team environment and clinic culture
• Shares ideas with management on how to continue to improve client/pet experiences and outcomes

Skills Needed to Succeed:

• A passion for veterinary medicine and helping people and their pets
• A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
• Emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to maintain a positive environment with healthy, professional boundaries
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Office, our medical software program (ezyVet), and Vello

Job Type: Full-time

Licenses: Must be a licensed veterinarian in the state of Michigan. Must be and maintain USDA, level 1 accreditation.

Expected hours: 35-40 per week

Work Location: Blue Lake Animal Hospital is nestled between Grand Rapids, MI and Caledonia, MI. We are situated close enough to the big city to enjoy all Grand Rapids has to offer and just far enough away to enjoy that small town, West Michigan feel.
