About This Position
Responsible for professional work analyzing, developing and monitoring contracts, leases, bids and/or request for proposals for goods and services for Palm Tran. Work is under the supervision of the Section Manager and reviewed through conferences, written reports, observations of work and results obtained. Work is performed within the established rules set forth by Palm Tran, federal, state and local authorities, and conducted with the utmost regard for the safety of the passengers, the public and all equipment.

- Prepares, compiles and distributes a variety of reports and related documents on procurement matters.
- Plans and coordinates procurement projects within the scope of contracting responsibilities; prepares and edits work products for completeness and accuracy.
- Facilitates contract approvals for project managers; identifies areas where there are no existing contracts and assigns responsibility for initiating and monitoring such contracts.
- Meets with department personnel regarding solicitation documents, plans, and specifications; coordinates and incorporates comments/revisions from legal and other departments into solicitation and contract documents.
- Assists in negotiating contract terms and conditions; coordinates the review and approval process; reviews contractor progress to determine status of performance; administers, coordinates and processes purchase orders and change orders.
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration, or a related field; with two (2) years of experience coordinating contract compliance.
Equivalency: Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification, and four (4) years of related professional experience in contract compliance.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Public Administration.
Federal Transit Administration (FTA) procurement experience.
Certified Purchasing Professional (NIGP-CPP).
