Painter - Weekend in Wichita, Kansas at VERUS AEROSPACE FINANCE INC

Position Summary

Apply promoters, paints and sealants as well as assemble detail parts and hardware onto components per manufacturing instructions and engineering drawings in compliance with company procedures and safety policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify sealants, paints, and primers to apply in accordance with work instructions stated on manufacturing documentation
• The ability to touch up painted components to meet clean and debris free surface standards prior to shipment
• Required to set-up, operate and maintain power tools and other necessary equipment
• Install fasteners to include rivets, nuts and bolts as needed
• Extensive use of basic hand tools, i.e. rivet guns, drill press, Hand drills and grinders
• Must utilize Precision inspection measuring tools, i.e. calipers, micrometers, bore gages
• Package and ship components after final inspection
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience.
• Possess basic math and geometry knowledge with elementary knowledge of engineering principles helpful.
• Must be able to effectively work with minimum supervision and able to determine proper tools and support equipment required to complete processing
• Must read and interpret blueprints, technical data and other specifications to determine layouts and operation sequences
• Must possess knowledge of hardware typically used per instruction
• Experience fabricating components by cutting, trimming, filing, bending and smoothing parts while verifying sizes and tolerances in order to ensure proper fit and clearance
