Description:

The DuPage Senior Citizens Council/Kane Senior Council (DSCC/KSC) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), volunteer-driven organization committed to the well-being, socialization, and health of seniors. DSCC/KSC is the designated Meals on Wheels and Community Dining provider in DuPage and Kane County.

About the Role

Communications Coordinator/Communications Manager Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Design and produce all donor-facing communications: email campaigns, newsletters, direct mail appeals, event invitations, thank you cards, and impact reports.
  • Write and design a monthly donor-focused digital newsletter — reoriented toward the donor perspective, with impact stories, program updates, and a giving call to action.
  • Build and manage automated digital communication sequences in HubSpot, including the new donor welcome series, recurring giving program communications, year-end appeal sequences, and event follow-up campaigns.
  • Manage all direct mail fundraising campaigns, including the year-end appeal, holiday card campaign, and any direct mail tied to DSCC's fundraising events.
  • Create graphics, social media content, and visual assets that support donor engagement.
  • Update and maintain the website, including donation pages, event pages, and organizational information, in coordination with any external web support.
  • Manage and grow DSCC's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, with a particular focus on storytelling, brand awareness, and audience growth.
  • Support in-person donor engagement events with signage, printed materials, digital displays, and event communications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Development and Development Operations Coordinator to ensure all communications are integrated with donor data, campaign goals, and stewardship timelines.

Job Benefits

  • Paid Time Off (10 sick days per year, 10 vacation days after completion of 3 months of continuous service, and 11 paid holidays)
