Facility Maintenance in Alexandria, Virginia at Belle Haven Country Club

Belle Haven Country Club seeks a full-time staff associate to maintain the tennis facility. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Great starting pay, and benefits!

· Rolls and lines outdoor clay courts for play each morning (weather permitting)

· Cleans debris and trash from courts and surrounding areas

· Empties all trash cans (outdoors and in Athletic Facility)

· Fills all cup dispensers and ice-water jugs at outdoor courts and Athletic Facility each morning

· Sweep indoor courts with court sweeper each morning as scheduled

· Cleans outdoor shoe cleaners (Tennis-two-step)

· Performs mid-day maintenance of clay courts as scheduled (watering, brooming, lining)

· Performs evening maintenance of outdoor courts as scheduled

· Sweeps clay-court lines for each group before play

· Applies magnesium chloride to clay courts on Monday mornings as required

· Cleans patios, patio furniture, and surrounding areas of tennis facilities

· Patches and levels clay courts as required

· Installs, takes down, and repairs windscreens, tents, and other court equipment as necessary

· Completes Spring Court Opening tasks list annually in spring

· Completes Winter Court Closing tasks list annually

· Keeps desk personnel informed as to court conditions

· Repairs or schedules repair to maintenance machines and equipment

· Performs any additional tasks needed to keep outdoor and indoor tennis courts and surrounding areas in good order

· Blow off snow or debris on platform tennis courts

· Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT/ENVIRONMENT:

· Must be able to lift 80 lbs of weight

· Must be able to walk at least 2 miles per day
