Clinical Informatics Pharmacist in Bowling Green, Kentucky at Med Center Health

Position Summary

• Providing subject matter expertise for medication-specific challenges, workflow, and functionality to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other varying audiences both clinical and non-clinical
• Serving as a primary point of contact for pharmacy to overcome technical challenges affecting hospital pharmacy operations
• Serving as a liaison between Pharmacy and IT for current and future endeavors involving pharmacy and/or medication systems, applications, and technology
• Participating in the procurement, development, implementation, customization, maintenance, and improvement of technology solutions involving medications
• Managing medication-related data, information, and knowledge while promoting integration, interoperability, and information exchange
• Engaging in Pharmacy Informatics professional development opportunities that translate to improvements in pharmacy practice through precepting pharmacy residents
• Advocating for pharmacy’s technological needs within the organization

Minimum Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a pharmacist with additional responsibilities and experience in EMR and/or Informatics projects required
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree required. PGY-2 Informatics residency preferred.
• Currently licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy. If currently licensed in a state other than Kentucky must obtain license by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 3 months of hire/placement.
