Responsibilities
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates CNC machine, makes tool wear offsets/adjustments and related tasks.
- Performs gauging and visual inspection of parts and washes and prepare for shipment. May also perform secondary operations such as assembly or deburring.
- Includes part inspection using the CMM, contour reader, etc.
- Performs preventative maintenance activities on the machines including lubricating and maintaining coolant / oil levels.
- Completes and maintains relevant paperwork.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Proven ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures
- Proven ability to understand standard units of measure and metric system
- Proven ability to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices
- Proven ability to understand and operate complex machines such as optical comparator, profilometer, coordinate measuring machines, calipers, contor reader, micrometer, and others as needed
- Demonstrate general knowledge of lockout/ tag-out procedures
- Proven ability to operate a pallet jack
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to wear safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved, steel toe shoes and other PPE as required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate positive attitude and willingness to follow directions.

- Demonstrate general knowledge of lockout/ tag-out procedures
Education and Experience Required:
- High School diploma
- Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field
- Operation of CNC equipment (Lathe, Mill, Grinder)
