Responsibilities

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates CNC machine, makes tool wear offsets/adjustments and related tasks.
• Performs gauging and visual inspection of parts and washes and prepare for shipment. May also perform secondary operations such as assembly or deburring.
• Includes part inspection using the CMM, contour reader, etc.
• Performs preventative maintenance activities on the machines including lubricating and maintaining coolant / oil levels.
• Completes and maintains relevant paperwork.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Proven ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures
• Proven ability to understand standard units of measure and metric system
• Proven ability to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices
• Proven ability to understand and operate complex machines such as optical comparator, profilometer, coordinate measuring machines, calipers, contor reader, micrometer, and others as needed
• Demonstrate general knowledge of lockout/ tag-out procedures
• Proven ability to operate a pallet jack
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to wear safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved, steel toe shoes and other PPE as required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate positive attitude and willingness to follow directions.

• Proven ability to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices
• Proven ability to understand and operate complex machines such as optical comparator, profilometer, coordinate measuring machines, calipers, contor reader, micrometer, and others as needed
• Demonstrate general knowledge of lockout/ tag-out procedures

Education and Experience Required:

• High School diploma
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field
• Operation of CNC equipment (Lathe, Mill, Grinder)
