Job Description
Description:
- Operate a 26ft box truck to deliver smoked salmon and other products from our Santa Barbara facility to customers in Los Angeles and surrounding areas
- Perform scheduled pickups from LAX
- Handle product with care to maintain cold chain and food safety standards
- Load and unload cargo using electric pallet jacks, or by hand as needed
- Verify delivery paperwork, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all DOT regulations, food safety guidelines, and company procedures
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with the sales team and dispatch team
- Valid California driver’s license (CDL not required)
- Clean driving record with at least 1 year of delivery experience
- Familiarity with Southern California roadways, especially downtown LA metro area and LAX
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs
- Strong attention to detail, especially with delivery documentation and time-sensitive routes
- Experience handling perishable or temperature-controlled goods preferred
