About This Position
Moffitt Cancer Center at International Plaza (MIP) is a 50,000-square-foot full service outpatient facility designed and equipped to provide the same level of cancer care we provide at our main hospital. Daily patient visits vary between 60 and 130 patients.

- Infusion services
- Blood draw area and clinical laboratory
- Radiation therapy
- Radiology (PET, CT, MRI, Chest X-ray)
- Screening Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, 3D Mammography & Ultrasounds
- Rapid Response Thyroid Cancer Assessment
Our MIP Clinic is currently looking for a RN Advisor MAC Float (Triage RN) to care for our patients seeking outpatient oncology treatment at our Breast, GI, GU, Head & Neck-Endocrine, Hematology, Radiation Oncology and Supportive Care clinics.
Position Highlights:
- The RN Advisor MAC Float uses the nursing process to effectively plan and manage patient care by providing individualized, quality nursing care to cancer patients and family members over the phone, in accordance with established Cancer Center guidelines, nursing care standards, and Moffitt Clinic policies.
- Using the concepts of Duffy's Quality Caring Model, the RN Advisor ensures calls are answered promptly and accurately while assessing patient's urgent signs and symptoms.
- The RN Advisor MAC Float provides nursing interventions, acts as a liaison with the clinical team and documents assessment and interventions in the EHR.
The Ideal Candidate
- The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in Oncology as a Registered Nurse
- At least 2 years of experience In Malignant Hematology as a Registered Nurse
- OCN or ACON certification
- Call center experience
Responsibilities:
- Answer calls using Moffitt Promise Guidelines (AIDET), the quality caring factors, and the nursing process to assess the patient's issue, plan and properly evaluate the care.
- Complete, accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Exercise clinical judgment and decision making. Recognizes emergencies and takes appropriate action.
- Identify, document and provide accurate and appropriate patient education.
- Participate in evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice. Participate in professional development based on the nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements and job expectations.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience
- FL RN License
- BLS Certification
