Founded June of 2020. We are a community-based organization providing therapy (individual, family, couples, & groups), after-school programs, mental health assemblies, organizational workshops, juvenile detention centers, case management and more! We service California residents via insurance or cash pay. Services are provided via telehealth and in-person in English and Spanish Language and based on specifics of contracts.
At Simple Solutions Psychotherapy we believe "It's SIMPLE people just make it complicated." We seek to assist PsyD practicum students in gaining knowledge and experience toward assisting the community with mental health services.
About the role
Office Assistant coordinates the daily administrative and client service activities of mental health
office to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedure, as well as perform various routine clerical duties to support the organization.
What you'll do
- Schedules and confirms patient appointments and ensures all insurance verifications are done
- Documentation of every encounter had with a client/parent/guardian.
- Adjusting schedules and helping therapist with either canceling or rescheduling clients.
- Provide Receptionist with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints.
- Handles every office situation while maintaining HIPPA compliancy.
- Billing clients either through their insurance or their card correctly.
- Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms.
- Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment.before arrival. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have clerical experience
- 1-2 years of previous office assistant experience, preferably in a medical or mental health office setting.
- 1 year of direct contact client customer service
- 1 year of billing experience
The pay range for this role is:
18 - 22 USD per hour(8350 Archibald Avenue)
