Maintenance Tech at Sumco Group LLC – Indianapolis, Indiana

Perform general maintenance duties on process equipment and building, using a variety of skills and tools.

Essential Functions of Position

1. Install and repair steam and water lines, basic plumbing duties.

2. Install and repair overflow trenches.

3. Electrical work including wiring of equipment, motors, drives and pumps.

4. Electric and pneumatic pump repairs

5. Rectifier PM

6. Plastic cutting and welding.

7. Plating tank repair

8. Ability to work on simple machines (chain drives, gearboxes, spur gears).

9. Operation of hand and power tools.

10. Air compressor, scrubber, boiler, and equipment PMs

11. Perform rough carpentry work.

12. Maintains cleanliness of work area.

13. Ability to manipulate safely behind and around plating lines.

14. Able to climb ladders and work in high areas.

15. Lift up to 75 pounds and manipulate up to 500 pounds.

16. Extensive walking/standing.

17. Repetitive bending /stooping.

18. Must be trained and qualified in Production Plater classification.

19. Perform work outside of normal business hours as needed.

20. Maintain regular and satisfactory attendance.

Other Functions

1. Perform other work as required.

Prerequisites of Position

Previous basic electrical & plumbing experience required. Negative drug screen required, knowledge of tools and their proper use is required. Dedication to and responsibility for safety is critical.
