Job Description:
Rollin Smoke Barbeque is seeking an experienced and reliable Kitchen Manager to oversee daily back of house operations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is organized, dedicated, and able to manage a team effectively. Hours will vary per week, and candidates must be available to work mornings, lunch, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily food preparation and cooking operations
Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to our standards
Maintain a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed
Develop and implement kitchen staff schedules to ensure coverage and efficiency
Train kitchen staff on food preparation, safety standards, and company procedures
Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and plating to ensure consistency and compliance with health department standards
Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
Manage kitchen costs and keep weekly and monthly cost reports
Handle inventory management and ordering of food supplies and kitchen equipment
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the kitchen staff
Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on menu pricing and development
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Head Chef
Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
Knowledge of a wide range of recipes and culinary techniques
Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
Excellent organizational and conflict management skills
Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus
Must obtain a Southern NV Health Dept Food Handlers Certification (present card at interview): Health Card Information
Valid Driver’s License is preferred but not required
Reliable transportation is necessary
Must have flexible work hours and be available to work mornings, lunch, nights, weekends, and holidays
