About This Position

Overview

The Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc., Beaver Dam facility - HR Assistant position is responsible for intercepting and routing incoming calls, taking thorough messages, providing basic information, answering visitor's questions and providing general assistance to Human Resources.

This is the first point-of-contact for visitors and guests.

This position is located in Beaver Dam, WI. Work hours are 7:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m Monday through Friday.



Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide Receptionist duties including but not limited to:

  • Provide front desk phone coverage and serve as the initial point of contact to welcome company visitors.
  • Greet office visitors in a courteous manner, determine the nature of their business, and coordinate as appropriate.
  • Ensure visitors’ adherence to company’s safety protocols including check-in procedures, distribution and tracking of visitor & contractor badges.
  • Answer multi-line phone system in a professional manner. Direct all incoming calls to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Answer questions about the organization and provide callers with the office location, directions, and/or other information. Document messages to applicable department or individual as appropriate.
  • Distribute and track incoming mail and packages, prepare outgoing mail and packages, and send miscellaneous correspondence as needed.
  • Order, maintain, and distribute company office supplies; organize and stock resource room on an ongoing basis.

Provide Human Resources support including but not limited to:

  • Assist in welcoming new employees to the organization by conducting orientation and helping with new hire entries.
  • Provides support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; relaying messages; maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  • Filing and data entry as needed for Human Resources and other departments in the facility.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Additional HR duties and project work as needed

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate or work experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Working towards or have completed a certificate, Associates Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree within Human Resources or a related field
  • Experience in HR systems and Microsoft programs is preferred including ADP, SAP, Kronos, Outlook, Excel and Word
