The Pediatric Recovery Care Center provides same day admissions for scheduled surgery or other invasive procedures for patients that require less than a 24 hour hospital stay.
The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.
Required:
IF HIRED OR LICENSED AFTER 1/1/2017: Graduate of an accredited Nursing degree. MUST complete BSN (Bachelors in Nursing within 8 years of hire date into the Registered Nurse position). Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire or within 2 weeks after hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within one (1) year of the hire date, if deemed necessary for the position based on the scope of the assigned role. Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification for Registered Nurses working in the Kienzle Family Maternity Center must be obtained by the end of orientation. Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Certification in a specialty area.

Pay Range: $39.00 - $50.00/hour.
