Holtec Palisades seeks qualified applicants for the position of I&C Maintenance Instructor in its Training department based at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, MI.

Job Summary:
Conducts I&C initial and continuing training. Works closely with I&C Maintenance department personnel to identify weaknesses in knowledge, skill, and behavior, and then systematically leverages training solutions appropriately to close gaps in performance in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops instructional materials and conducts training for I&C Maintenance technicians.
• An incumbent for this position should have in-depth knowledge of instructional design theory (SAT/TSD).
• This level is also responsible for maintaining training programs in accordance with nuclear industry, regulatory, and legal requirements.
• Ensures accredited I&C Maintenance training program and instructional materials are maintained current by incorporating plant changes.
• Maintains knowledge of plant operational conditions to support the analysis, design, and development of high-quality training materials.
• Conducts trainee evaluations in various training settings (classroom, laboratory, OJT, etc.,).
• Supports station business initiatives, refueling outages, Emergency Planning (EP) duties, and other projects.
• The I&C Maintenance instructor is also required to participate in instructional continuing training.
• Must participate in management assessments.
• Ensures training records are complete, accurate and auditable. Demonstrates leadership by upholding high standards in all training settings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education, engineering or related technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of I&C maintenance related experience (commercial or military).
• Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• SRO license or certification on BWR and/or PWR preferred.
