Job Description:
The Supervisor of Storeroom and Receiving is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of receiving, storage, and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies within the hospital. This role ensures proper handling of incoming and outgoing inventory, maintains accurate records, supports efficient supply chain operations, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.

- Supervises daily operations of storeroom and receiving, ensuring all deliveries are received, verified, and recorded accurately.
- Monitors inventory levels and coordinate restocking to maintain optimal supply levels.
- Supervises a team of storeroom handlers and receiving personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
- Ensures proper storage and handling of all materials, following hospital protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of storeroom and receiving areas in compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Collaborates with procurement and clinical departments to resolve delivery issues, backorders, and discrepancies.
- Assists with inventory audits, cycle counts, and reporting.
- Operates inventory management systems to track supply movement and support data accuracy.
- Provides support during emergency supply requests and ensure timely distribution to departments.
- Identifies and recommends process improvements for storeroom and receiving efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of supply chain or materials management experience in a healthcare or hospital setting, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of hospital inventory and supply chain systems (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft).
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to other Powers Health locations.
