Maintenance Specialist
Location: Wally Park Jacksonville
Hourly Rate: $18.00/HR
Schedule: Part-time Open Flexibiliyt (On-call, Contact for Details)

Spirit of thePosition:
The Shuttle & Lot Maintenance Tech is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, cleaning and maintaining shuttle vehicles to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation in addition to completing lot maintenance and upkeep projects. This role supports daily transportation services by minimizing downtime and maintaining vehicles according to company and manufacturer standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Perform routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid checks).
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Repair brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC and electrical repairs.
Conduct safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet DOT and company standards.
Complete work orders and maintain records accurately and timely.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area.
Respond to roadside breakdowns when necessary.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all shuttle vehicles comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
Maintain proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Participate in ongoing training and certification programs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training preferred.
Proven experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic.
Valid drivers license (CDL preferred, if applicable).
ASE certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Must be able to obtain a DOT certification in order to operate company shuttles.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in various shop conditions.
Ability to complete maintenance and upkeep projects throughout the parking lot during downtime (pressure washing, cleaning, painting, etc.).

Shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
