CHA provides 24-hour emergency care at our Cambridge and Everett Hospitals. We are one of the busiest emergency services in Massachusetts with approximately 100,000 combined annual visits and have been recognized nationally as one of the most efficient emergency services in the nation. Highlights include a state-of-the-art patient triage and tracking system, a streamlined admission process that helps us get the sickest patients to a hospital bed sooner, rapid assessment protocol to help prioritize our work, a BIDMC tele-stroke program, and an integrated Psychiatric Emergency Services at Cambridge Hospital.
The ED Patient Partner greets and serves as a patient liaison to the Emergency Department patients upon arrival. Provides operational, clerical and minor patient care support to the Emergency Department. Collaborates with Emergency Department staff to effectuate patient flow and keeps patients informed related to wait times and delays. The Patient Liaison provides superior customer service to patients and is charged with fostering an ideal patient experience. Registration and flawless identification of patients as they present to the ED and excellent communication skills and critical thinking in a complex, busy and demanding environment.
Qualifications/Experience:
Preferably one year experience in a medical setting and/or certification from a Medical Assistant Program.
Bi-lingual preferred.
High School Diploma required; Associates preferred.
