We design, fabricate, and field-erect water storage tanks for clients across the United States. Our commitment to safety, quality, and project excellence sets us apart as a trusted partner in the infrastructure sector.

Position Summary

The Industrial Rehabilitation & Field Maintenance Technician is a hands-on field role responsible for executing structural repairs, coating work, mechanical component replacement, and project closeout tasks on steel water storage tanks.

This is not a single-trade welding position. We are seeking well-rounded industrial craftsmen who are comfortable performing a variety of skilled tasks including painting, mechanical repairs, part replacement, structural work, and final punch list/closeout activities.

Ideal candidates may come from:

  • Refinery or plant maintenance
  • Industrial shutdown/turnaround crews
  • Bridge or structural steel rehabilitation
  • Industrial coating/blasting crews
  • Heavy mechanical field service teams
  • General industrial construction

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on rehabilitation work on steel structures in outdoor and elevated environments
  • Execute surface preparation including power tool cleaning, abrasive blasting, and coating preparation
  • Apply industrial coatings and assist with painting operations per project specifications
  • Perform structural repairs including welding, grinding, fitting, and steel replacement
  • Replace and repair tank components such as hatches, vents, ladders, handrails, platforms, nozzles, and other appurtenances
  • Perform mechanical repairs and installation of replacement parts
  • Complete punch list and project closeout work, including touch-ups, adjustments, and final detailing
  • Assist with mobilization and demobilization of equipment and materials
  • Maintain high safety standards and follow OSHA requirements
  • Work as part of a field crew to complete projects on schedule

Benefits & Pay

  • Competitive pay based on experience and skill set
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Travel work with per diem
  • Stable, long-term career path in industrial infrastructure

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a shop-only position
  • Not a welding-only position
  • Not limited to one trade

We are looking for versatile field professionals who can adapt to different scopes of work and take ownership of getting projects fully completed - including the final details.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, structural rehabilitation, plant work, bridge work, or similar heavy field environments
  • Experience performing multiple types of industrial work (coatings, mechanical repairs, structural repairs — not just welding)
  • Ability to work at heights and in outdoor job site conditions
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and OSHA compliance
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and follow project specifications
  • Willingness to travel nationwide for project assignments

Preferred (Not Required)
