Remote Commercial Service Carpenter at F 5 Construction Services LLC – Akron, Ohio

F5 Facility Services is seeking a highly skilled and self-directed Commercial Carpenter to join our growing team in Akron, Ohio. This position demands exceptional independence and the ability to work effectively with limited management interaction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing commercial carpentry work including installation, repair, and maintenance of structures and building components for our diverse commercial clients. This role requires a broad carpentry skillset, superior problem-solving abilities, a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, the ability to accurately quote jobs, proficiency in utilizing company-provided mobile applications for communication and reporting, and the ability to utilize customer-specific software for time tracking and job management.

Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including framing, trim work, door and window installation, cabinetry installation, and structural repairs with minimal supervision.
Install, repair, and maintain commercial building components such as drywall, partitions, flooring systems, and structural wood elements.
Respond to service calls promptly and efficiently, providing accurate diagnoses and effective repair solutions.
Perform preventative maintenance and carpentry upgrades on commercial properties.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of issues and repair options.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Prepare accurate quotes and material lists for carpentry projects.
Maintain and manage company-provided tools and equipment.
Work collaboratively with team members remotely to ensure efficient service delivery.
Be available for occasional on-call or after-hours work when necessary.
Utilize company mobile applications to document work orders, upload job photos, submit reports, and communicate with management.
Utilize customer-specific software systems for time tracking and job updates.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a commercial carpenter.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong carpentry skills, including framing, trim carpentry, and structural repair.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a variety of environments.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Ability to estimate material and labor costs accurately.
Comfortable using mobile technology and job management software.

Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA certification.
Experience working in commercial environments.
Experience with drywall installation, flooring, and interior finishing.
