Concrete Plant Oiler at Northern Improvement Company – Menoken, North Dakota

Concrete Plant oilers are responsible for keeping the plant running! Concrete plants rely on strong maintenance to keep things running. With such a unique position, we are willing to train if you have the right attitude! Position travels year to year. We would like to find someone willing to travel with the crew for years to come!

Duties and responsibilities

• The Plant Oiler duties include labor and maintenance work related to the safe operation of construction concrete plants
• Monitor conveyors, traps, and moving parts to ensure they are properly operating
• Maintain the mix plant, including engines and equipment
• Assist plant operator
• Grease/lubricate plant parts
• Manual labor and climbing to significant heights is a job requirement
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Must be able to use all hand tools of the trade safely & proficiently
• Be able to do high quality work at a fast pace
• Must be safety oriented at all times
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to operate some motorized equipment is a plus, but will train
• All other duties as assigned, delegated, or necessary for operations

Qualifications

• One year of Construction Plant experience is preferred
• Must be 18 years old at date of application
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment urine drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment

Working conditions

• Outdoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures
• Moderate exposures to fumes, dust, odors, heights, and loud noises.

Physical requirements

• Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner.
• Clarity of vision at varying distances to perform various work assignments.
• Standing or walking for extended periods of time.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of specialized tools and equipment.
• Reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally.
• Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 50 pounds
