Job Summary: Pattison's Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary therapy team. This position will support our charter school and summer camp programs. As a Occupational Therapist at Pattison's Academy, you will play a vital role in supporting sensory integration and fine motor skills, and overall functional independence of our students and campers. You will work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, camp counselors, and fellow therapists to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that promote success across educational and therapeutic settings.
Qualifications:
- Certification for Occupational Therapy licenses in South Carolina
- Experience working with children, or adults with multiple disabilities
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
The Occupational Therapist’s duties, though not exhaustive, comprise the following:
- Conduct evaluations to assess students' abilties
- Develop individualized goals and treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Implement therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
- Provide direct therapy services to students as indicated by Individualized Education Program (IEP) minutes
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in IEP meetings to discuss student progress and update goals as needed
- Monitor and document campers' progress and adjust therapy interventions accordingly
- Meet weekly productivity standards
- Maintain licensure in good standing with the state board
- Perform other related duties as assigned
